EVCC™ Pedas RSA is redefining what it means to build for the future. As shown in the photo above, the iconic circular hub is undergoing a major construction milestone—roof slab casting integrated with concealed rainwater harvesting infrastructure. But this isn’t just about pouring concrete. It’s a bold move toward environmental leadership.
Built with Purpose: Roof Casting in Progress
The curved upper deck of the structure is now being formed using reinforced concrete (RC) supported by intricate scaffolding and steel rebar. Running along its perimeter are cast-in RC gutters, designed to seamlessly collect rainwater from the building’s expansive roof surface.
Behind this progress lies a climate-conscious engineering system:
Custom Gutter Channels: Formed during casting to integrate with the structure, these gutters serve as primary catchment zones.
Siphonic Suction System: A high-efficiency rainwater drainage technology enabling fast, full-bore flow with minimal pipe gradient—ideal for circular rooftops.
Reuse-Ready Design: Captured rainwater will be stored, filtered, and reused for landscaping, external cleaning, and sanitary flushing—reducing operational water demand significantly.
GreenRE Platinum: A Design Target from Day One
EVCC™ Pedas RSA is committed to achieving a Platinum Rating under the GreenRE Green Building Certification framework—a mark of excellence in sustainability, resource efficiency, and environmental performance.
Key initiatives contributing to this ambition include:
Rainwater harvesting at roof level with siphonic integration
Energy-efficient architecture and ventilation
Optimized natural daylighting through circular atrium design
EV charging integration and low-carbon mobility infrastructure
These efforts form part of a larger commitment by LEVN Capital to ensure that EVCC™ is not only commercially viable, but environmentally regenerative—setting a national precedent for highway infrastructure development.
The Future of Rest Stops Is Circular - And Sustainable
From construction methodology to operational strategy, EVCC™ Pedas RSA is built for resilience, longevity, and ESG impact. With a strong foundation literally being cast into place, the project reflects what’s possible when engineering, environment, and enterprise align.
