EVCC™ Pedas RSA: Launching Q1 2026 as Malaysia’s First Electric Vehicle Charging Corridor Hub on PLUS Expressway

Introducing EVCC™ – The Future of Highway Infrastructure in Malaysia

EVCC™ (Electric Vehicle Charging Corridor) is Malaysia’s first private-sector initiative dedicated to redefining highway infrastructure for the electric mobility era. Developed by LEVN Capital, EVCC™ establishes a network of next-generation EV mobility hubs along major expressways—starting with the PLUS Expressway.

Each EVCC™ site is purpose-built to integrate high-capacity EV charging, sustainable building design, and curated commercial experiences—all within a digitally enabled, ESG-compliant platform.

The first flagship development, EVCC™ Pedas RSA, is scheduled to open in Q1 2026, serving as the national benchmark for modern, green, and commercially scalable rest areas.

What EVCC™ Is All About

EVCC™ is more than just a new kind of RSA. It represents the convergence of clean energy, smart mobility, and commercial design to serve the evolving needs of highway users and EV drivers alike.

Here are the four pillars of the EVCC™ concept:

1. EV Charging Hub

Each EVCC™ site is equipped with ultra-fast DC chargers from leading providers including Tesla Supercharger and Gentari DC Charger. Designed to support 350kW high-power charging (HPC), EVCC™ eliminates range anxiety and ensures seamless intercity EV travel.

  • Direct 11kV TNB intake infrastructure

  • Smart grid-ready substation (SSU)

  • Multi-brand EV charging zones

  • Scalable electrical capacity (up to 5 MVA per site)

2. Sustainable Energy | ESG | Green

EVCC™ is built with a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, ensuring all sites meet Platinum Rated GreenRE standards. From solar-integrated roofing to rainwater harvesting systems, every aspect is designed for long-term ESG performance.

  • Solar-ready architecture

  • Energy-efficient lighting and ventilation

  • Low-carbon materials and green construction practices

  • ESG reporting metrics and investor-grade transparency

3. Highway Retailing

EVCC™ transforms RSAs into destination retail experiences, offering travellers a refreshing stop with a well-curated mix of national F&B brands, lifestyle retail, and locally inspired outlets.

  • Capsule-shaped drive-thru buildings

  • Anchor and satellite tenants with local specialities

  • Pedestrian-friendly, comfort-focused layouts

4. Cohesive Fuel Station: Supporting the Transition to Clean Mobility

While EV adoption is at the core of the EVCC™ initiative, each site is also designed to support hybrid and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles during the nation’s multi-phase transition to electric mobility.

Through strategic collaboration with Petronas and Shell, EVCC™ integrates cohesively planned fuel stations into its mobility campus, ensuring that energy accessibility remains inclusive, future-ready, and commercially sustainable.

EVCC™: More Than a Rest Stop

EVCC™ redefines the role of the traditional RSA. It is a multi-functional infrastructure platform built to deliver:

  • Energy resilience for EV adoption

  • Commercial viability through tenancy and branding

  • ESG alignment for sustainable investors

  • Mobility convenience for everyday users

By combining all these elements, EVCC™ offers a replicable model that supports Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint.

With its strategic location, sustainable design, and energy-resilient infrastructure, EVCC™ Pedas RSA is set to redefine what a Rest & Service Area can be. By combining next-generation EV charging, green building performance, and a vibrant commercial experience, it will serve as a national model for clean, connected, and commercially viable roadside development. As the first EVCC™ site, Pedas RSA signals a bold shift in how Malaysians will rest, recharge, and move along the expressway—starting Q1 2026.
