Malaysia’s First Private-Sector EV Highway Hub Takes Shape
PEDAS RSA marks the inaugural project under EVCC™, Malaysia’s first private-sector Electric Vehicle Charging Corridor. Strategically located along the high-traffic Malaysia–Singapore route on the PLUS Expressway, the development is envisioned as a next-generation EV hub that integrates sustainable mobility, modern retail, and user-centric highway amenities.
Developed by Levn Capital, EVCC™ Pedas RSA is designed to redefine the traditional Rest and Service Area. The project will feature Tesla Superchargers alongside Gentari high-powered chargers, creating a future-ready charging ecosystem that supports the accelerating adoption of electric vehicles in Malaysia. This integrated EV-first approach positions Pedas RSA as a new benchmark for sustainable R&R infrastructure.
Construction Progress Update as at January 2026
As at January 2026, overall construction progress at EVCC™ Pedas RSA has reached 75.6% completion, reflecting strong momentum as the project advances towards delivery.
Key milestones achieved to date include:
Roof Dome Superstructure - Completed the superstructure of the iconic circular roof dome has been fully completed, establishing the architectural identity of the development while enabling passive daylighting and natural ventilation.
Fuel Stations Nearing Completion- The construction of both fuel stations operated by Petronas and Shell has reached approximately 95% completion, ensuring comprehensive mobility options for motorists.
Recirculation Outer Ring Road Works - Commenced construction works for the recirculation outer ring road have commenced, forming a key component of the site’s traffic flow and operational efficiency.
Ingress and Egress Works in Progress - Construction of the ingress and egress access roads connecting directly to the PLUS Expressway is currently ongoing, facilitating seamless and safe access for highway users.
Designed with Sustainability at Its Core
EVCC™ Pedas RSA has been planned and executed with sustainability embedded from the outset. The development targets Platinum-rated green building standards, supported by energy-efficient design strategies, EV-first mobility planning, and infrastructure that is scalable for future technologies.
