Levn Capital and MGTC Sign MOU for EV Charging Infrastructure for Pedas RSA Development

Levn Capital Sdn. Bhd. and Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC)
; an agency of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) mandated to drive the country in the scope of Green Growth, Climate Change Mitigation and Green Lifestyle have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) to collaborate on the development of EV Fast Charging Infrastructure along the PLUS North-South Expressway, as part of the Electric Vehicle Charging Corridor (EVCC™) initiative.
The MOU also focuses on the development and operational strategies for the Pedas RSA (Rest-Service-Area), the first privately operated RSA in Malaysia. This RSA has been approved by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and is strategically located at KM241 (South Bound) on the PLUS North-South Expressway.
Key areas of cooperation include the deployment of EV fast charging stations at Pedas RSA, the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and collaboration on related mobility solutions. Both parties aim to enhance Malaysia’s highway infrastructure to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles and ensure a seamless experience for travelers.
This MOU marks a significant step forward in modernizing Malaysia’s highway network, making it more efficient and ready to accommodate the future of electric vehicle transportation.
